Benefit Confessions of a Concealaholic

So I recently purchased a few benefit products, one of which will be raved about in this blog post. As you all may know, benefit products can be slightly pricey as quite a lot of the products are in the price range of £20.00 - £30.00. Because of this, rather than splurging out (with the money I know I don't have) i decided to find a very trustworthy seller on Ebay and give them a go. I have never bought or tested anything from benefit, so this was exciting for me as I love receiving items in the post. I was able to get hold of the makeup for £10.95, perfect condition, and has done a great job for me so far! 100% positive feedback so i was a happy chappy!
First of all the packaging...
A cute little pinky purple box with gorgeous gold outlining and detail. The only downside is that benefit decide to use cardboard for there packaging which usually tends to get extremely grubby. I find that this box makes you feel all princessy and is like a diary full of secrets.

As soon as you open your box you will find this small booklet containing everything you could possibly need to know about the contents of your concealing box. It is full of tips and advice on each and every product, telling you how to use them, when, and different ways of experimenting.
That Gal Brightening face Primer
      Erase Paste Brightening Camouflage
The box contains:

  • That gal brightening face primer 7.5ml
  • Erase Paste no 2 medium
  • Boi-ing 01 and 02
  • Eye Bright
  • Lemon Aid
  • Two double ended applicator brushes

That Gal Brightening Face Primer
First of all a round of a plause to the colour! A gorgeous baby pink with a lovely smell of strawberry milkshake and yoghurt, thumbs up from me. Applies soft and gently to the skin and is a perfect base for any foundation. I can definitely tell the difference as my skin has become very glowy and makes me look very bright for sure.

Erase Paste Brightening Camouflage
I have been loving this product recently, magically my under eye circles have dissapeared. I have pretty dry and very dark under eye circles that rarely cover up well. The Erase Paste has peachy/orangey tones that are great for counteracting purple eye circles and it works a treat. Its thick creamy consistency stops it from running or fading too quickly. Although the pot does look small, a little product goes such a long way! However, the limited shade range means it is tricky to find a perfect match to any skin tone. The one you will get in the box is shade #2 Medium.

Boi-ing Concealer 01 and 02
I would definitely recommend these two concealers. They both mix really well together to find the perfect shade if either one of the colours isn't your skin tone. My blemishes have totally gone and made me more confident as I have struggled to cover up spots and areas of uneven skin tone in the past. I have a lot of redness on my face especially around my nose and chin. This really does sort those areas out and have given me a flawless dewy look onto my face. the texture is gorgeous, and applies so smoothly onto the skin.

Eye Bright & Lemon Aid
I find that the pink eye bright is really good at lifting the eye area, it helps those bags under your eyes and It also does an amazing job at making my eyes seem more awake, bright and alive. Hmm... not too sure about the lemon aid. When I pat and blend this on my eyelids I have to say I do quite like the smoothing, brightening effect, but it doesn't last and creases on the skin quite easily even if I have used a little dot of primer to help the setting process. Using this underneath eyeshadow doesn't seem to do anything whatsoever. I do occasionally use this products as I do like it, but all I would say is that it doesn't make too much of a difference.

Double ended applicator brushes
I really do think these are a cute idea, and fit very nicely with all the products that come in the package. I have never been one of those people who use brushes to conceal, I fins that using fingers helps the concealer to blend so much easier so I don't have a orange splodge on my face. These brushes are a fab idea if you don't like spreading germs from makeup through to fingers to your face, which of course could lead to spots. I just personally find that the brushes are pretty fiddly and if you are in a rush in the morning (like I usually am) then there tends to be no point.
