Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon

For a none wearing lipstick or lipgloss wearer like me, I've never really been interested in going into boots and picking up the most popular buys. But seeing as though Summer is here I thought I would go out of my comfort zone and try out a very hyped about product. Every beauty company have various lip products on offer but these ones looked so bright and summery and too pretty to leave. I have never actually tried any form of balm stain before and after hearing so many raving reviews from other bloggers, I knew that I had to jump on the bandwagon and finally try them out.

Peach on the beach

It basically looks like a gigantic pencil, but for your lips. The shape of the top makes it so easy to apply to your lips and fits perfectly and as you are running out you can twist up the bottom which reveals more product. This product is
described as a Glossy Finish Lipstick but I don't think it's that much like a 'lipstick'. Lipsticks to me seem quite dry whereas this product is so smooth and moisturising on the lips. It is so pigmented but is also quite sheer which is nice as its not too overpowering so its perfect for the daytime. The packaging of Colour Boost is great, its so bright and very easily found in your makeup bag. One of the best things about the product is that it is so easy to apply and especially without a mirror. I'm always carrying around makeup products in my bag without a mirror but this is very blendable on the lips and is a nice wash of colour.

The Bourjois lip crayons come in 4 different shades: Red sunrise, Orange Punch, Peach on the beach and Fuschia Libre. All of these shades are perfect for summer and they would all compliment any skin tone. I was swatching the other colours whilst I was in boots and i definitely want to pick up some of the colours especially Orange Punch. It is an orange tint which transfers as coral on the lips. One other thing I like about these lip crayons is that they also have SPF 15 so will help keep your lips protected from the sun.Bourjois  also claims that these lip crayons are water-proof and will last on your lips for 10 hours which i think is great for a tinted lip balm.

At first I was worried that these colour boosts would be too strong on my lips and give off to much colour for a none lip product wearer. I wanted something subtle so I could get use to seeing myself with a little bit of colour on my lips. These are great because they can be put on the lips so sheer and then get built up to a really intense colour, so there is something for everyone. I love how the packaging of the lip product is exactly the same as the actual product inside rather than having the same colour for all of them.

Overall I am so impressed with these lip crayons and I definitely think that they are worth £7.99. I would highly recommend you trying these out if your looking for a new lip product to brighten up your outfit and give you a hint of colour for summer.
